Mercuro was formed in 1998 by guitarist 幸郎 [Yukirou] with vocalist 霞 [Kasumi] and fellow guitarist 博士 [Hiroshi]. They are an independent band with grim and dark atmospheres mixed with a raw aesthetic (iryou kei - lit. medical style), adding in things such as bloodied lab coats, eye patches and bandages.
One thing you absolutely can't miss are this bands line-up changes;

the only consistent members being Yukirou and Hiroshi.
It's also notable to add that they had an alter ego band called GHOST, which then became Serpentine Ghost (International).
They also founded the independent record label "G.I.B. Records".
There sadly isn't much information regarding members on the English side of the internet that I could find.
